Professor Howard Zinnââ¬â¢s purpose for writing ââ¬ÅA Peopleââ¬â¢s History of the United Statesââ¬Â
1. In a nutshell, Professor Howard Zinnââ¬â¢s purpose for writing ââ¬Å"A Peopleââ¬â¢s History of the United Statesâ⬠was to offer a history of the United States (from the first settlers all the way to the midà 1970ââ¬â¢s at the time of publishing) that did not outright lie or ââ¬Å"sugar coatâ⬠our countryââ¬â¢s past.
